First Post and First House...Congratulate me bc it's going to be a pain in the ass

WOOHOO!!!
So I did my homework. PBNJ sandwiches, investment books, monthly budgets, automated paycheck deductions and being very boring later (as well as watching my 401KO...grr...but lets not go there right now), I finally managed to scrimp and save enough for my first piece of real estate property (a charming old Victorian duplex in an up and coming area on the Oakland Emeryville border). Thank you Obama for convincing me to buy. (You are such a smooth talker with your $8000 tax credit!!!)

I've always been the roll up your sleeves type of gal. I've also always been a little nutty as well. This blog is dedicated to home improvement products that I've come across during this renovation process - FROM A CHICK'S PERSPECTIVE. God knows I need to rant and rave, especially when a project seems particularly daunting and I need to kick someone or when I fall in love all over again with that recessed lighting and bead board in the bathroom.
